How many miles on your SC'd Cyote ?

Short answer no, long answer I'm gonna wait till it gets worse or fails entirely. I'm still beating on it daily, and I upped the shift pressure on the 3-4, which has seemed to help a tiny bit. Its an odd issue and not immediately clear what is going on, as some 3-4 shifts it works great but most have the flare.

This video shows where the weak point is. Not sure I like his fix. See what others think.
BTW this guy's series on building a Gen 2 twin turbo is a no non-sense video series. I'm really surprised he hasn't had more views.

Yes, that is a common failure area around the 800whp range on the gen 2 block..though once you go over 700whp reliability becomes suspect depending on usage. As always, mileage will vary as some people see 4 digit horsepower numbers on stock blocks and some do not. But on the gen 3 coyote, that water jacket area has a supporting bridge which is where the extra strength comes from. Realistically any Coyote nearing 800whp should probably be fully built if one expects it to live awhile.

Is that because of the water jacket design?
