Default Hitting rev limiter early?

Doing some fine tuning with my remote tuner. He has rev limiter set to 7800 and it shows on the log that it hit at 7600ish. Anyone know what would cause this?

11-14 automatic Coyotes had a software bug that limited rpms to around 7700. There was a patch figured out by various tuners at the time, but some people just ended up using later model pcm’s on their race cars.

might want to start your research there.

Fyi manual cars did not have that issue

HPtuners RPM patch. Look under this section:

Apply the patch, save it as a new tune and when he sends it to you you'll have to do a full write.

Thanks for the info here. I spent hours reading about this today. I was unaware of this issue. I won't be spinning this high on my nitrous tune anyways so this really shouldn't be an issue. Just trying to safely squeeze every last bit outta this thing N/A.
