Boost really changes things however and 7500rpm at 400whp NA is a lot different then 7500rpm at 550whp boosted.
You see....that's why I said don't listen to me!!

It's really swapping to the gt intake cams paired with the boss intake that allow to spin that high and not fall off power wise. Before the cams power would fall off at 6700 or so. Now power is very linear all the way through 7500. Now I just need to get the darn shift points dialed in.

Blue5.0, sorry your night was not the best. Hope you don't mind me jumping in on your thread - I also have a blue 5.0 and also went to my first track night of the year, at the aforementioned Texas Motorplex a couple of weeks ago. Man that place has changed a lot in the 20+ years I have been going there. Got 7 runs in a little over an hour, there were very few people there and at times there was no line whatsoever. Other differences since long ago - they had a small bleacher pushed up right next to the staging lanes, so you could sit ~15 ft away from where the cars launched if you wanted to. They also were serving beer and margaritas in yard glasses. Nice for the spectators!

My truck is a 2018 5.0L 4wd supercrew, 3.55 gears and of course the 10-speed auto. 5K miles on the truck, bone stock with just E-85 (Torque showing ~70% ethanol) and a standard Omega tune. Right at 5,200lbs with driver. First run was in 4wd, sport mode. 13.32@103.41 with 1.98 60-foot. I honestly could not believe it when I saw the timeslip... this truck is faster than my lightly-modified 1993 Mustang GT, which can only manage a mid-13. What a difference 30 years of technology makes!

Next I tried a couple of runs in 2wd, and could not get a decent launch so went back to 4wd. I tried a short powerbrake in 4wd at the light and when I took off, there was a loud bang and the engine hit the rev limiter. After a second or so, the traction came back and I made it down the track for a 15.9@101. I'm not sure exactly what happened but either I got kicked into 2wd and lost traction, or got kicked into neutral briefly. I decided not to powerbrake anymore in 4wd. If this has happened to anyone else, I'd like to hear about it.

Last run of the night, I removed the air filter element from the factory CAI. I have seen others mention that the main restriction in the factory CAI is the panel filter and I wanted to test that theory. After several runs in the 13.3-13.4 range at 103.x, the run without the panel filter came in at 13.27@104.23 (2.01 60-ft). So it looks like the panel filter does likely cost ~10hp. I see an aftermarket CAI in my future (and a GT intake). Oh, I also made a run in "Normal" mode (vs. sport). 13.62@102.59.

I have had a few vehicles tuned over the years, and have never seem much benefit on a N/A motor... until this one. The OZ tune really woke this truck up. If anyone is on the fence, I say do it - you won't be disappointed!

To get an idea of how sloppy the run was, here is a screen shot of the data log. The blue line is showing actual throttle angle. At the top of first I hit the limiter and throttle closed, when nitrous kicked in after the shift I got loose then braked. I tried to get back into it a few times, but I was never able to fully recover from the *** end getting squirrely the first time. I'm literally on the brake for about 2/3rds of the run. Lol, all in all I'm happy with a 13.5 @93mph. I think this will be sub 12's when I get this straightened out.
