I ran 21lbs of air in those same rear tires you're using when it turned in the 1.70 60' time. The pass before that one they had 25lbs and I brake stalled it to about 1500 t0 1800rpm and then it spun the tires and shifted immediately second. So far the best result for the 60' time was brake stalling to about 1k and then just mashing the gas with 21lbs of air. I did about a 7 to 8 second burn out also.....not with a lot of speed either. Started off in first and gave it partial throttle till it shifted into second and then held it a few seconds. Definitely not a John Force style burn out.

Of course if you're rear springs and shock are a little stiffer than mine, that might not work for you. It may take some trial and error to find the best place leave from to net a significantly better 60'.

With your PD blower you'll probably always have a quicker 60', both my cams and boss intake manifold hurt me down low. I ran 23 lbs, it wasn't getting out of the hole that was the issue. It actually launched hard. It was at the top of the shift. I shifted 1st to second at about 7700rpm and it hit the limiter. So right when it hits second, nitrous comes in again at 100% and it just broke loose a little. I need my tuner to throttle down the shifts probably 150rpm or so. It had a lot left in it. Just only had a chance for 1 run. I only sprayed to 7100rpm so I didn't spray on the limiter. That would be bad news!

Wow man, 7700 rpm is a lot of rpm (from what I'm told) for a Gen I coyote. But that's just me regurgitating what other folks say, I don't have any real proof of anything. Hopefully you'll get it sorted out the way you want it.

Yeah, it was a little too high. I didn't get the back and forth logging with my tuner complete before track night. He'll dial it down to 7500 or so and it should be good. I don't think I warmed the tires enough. I just did a quick burnout and rolled out of it. Looking at the log, I launched at about 1800. The plan was to lunch off idle, 1509 and 1800. But obviously I only got one run in...

Something doesn't work with the attachment.

Oh, btw, don't take advice from me. There are others hanging around that actually know what they're talking about, lol.

He’s NA with nitrous.....rpm becomes a much bigger issue when their is a supercharger belt pulling hard on the crank snout and constant boost. There are plenty of gen 1 NA coyote mustang guys spinning to 7500rpm+ with boss manifolds, without issue.....at least in the short term.

Boost really changes things however and 7500rpm at 400whp NA is a lot different then 7500rpm at 550whp boosted.
