Default First track outing for the year (1/4th mile)

Just an awful experience. It was so busy and filled with just beat down vehicles and huge diesels eating the track alive. I waited 2+ hours to get a run in... got loose at the top of the rpm band, hit the rev limiter, backed out, tried to give it hell again, got loose again then coasted. Still finished with a 13.4 at only 93.6 mph 😆 then I got back in line, car hit the wall and caught fire(he was ok, car was not) and they ended up shutting it down. 5 hours, 1 partial run. Just a horrible way to start the year off.

thats a bit unfortunate but the way I look at it, there’s only one way to go now.

I like your positive outlook. It was just frustrating that's all. I'll say the truck felt great off the launch. Not my best 69' but 2.0 flat was decent for my first time on these new tires and the fact that I cut a 13.5 at only 93-94 mph is promising. When that's what I used to run that was with a 103ish trap speed.

Had a similar experience last night, had a wreck that shut the track down for quite a while and only got two passes in.

It’s early, you’ll have time.

I quit going to Texas Motorplex for the same reason. Granted mine was always just for fun since I've never owned a truly fast vehicle. But to get one maybe two runs in for the cost it just wasn't worth it. Then they closed our 1/8 mile track and now I just don't go any more...

I wasn't too far away. I was at Gateway international a few minutes from Saint Louis.

2WD, last year I ran a 12.6 @ 110 abeflre the cams. I'm hoping to edge close to 11.999999 somewhere around 113-114 mph
