It's not worth messing something up with not knowing what all has been done to the truck internally. I can't believe I didn't notice before but the truck also has a throttle body spacer as well. I'm only the second owner of this truck and I'd love to get in touch with the original owner to get an idea of what all I'm dealing with. I'm just drunk rambling at this point.... Just wanted to follow up and let anyone that's reading any part of this thread know that I was tuning a tune...? HA! Hope I didn't F something up.. Here's a picture of my throttle body spacer if someone wants to let me know what brand it may be..[img]https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f150forum.com-vbulletin/2000x1504/80-img_4155_1__d151575ed12064cc9cd735779961b2790a8f3d d1.jpg[img]
Did you send your read to SCT? They should be able to tell you if the cams are locked out etc... That's an Airaid TB spacer.

Yeah, I mentioned that above but I'm not sure what other aftermarket parts are on the truck and whether or not the cam-phasers are locked out or even there at all. It's not worth the hassle to me. I'm the second owner of this truck and I can tell the guy who owned it before me babied the hell out of it. I'm fine with the current tune just wanted to have my own tuner for own pleasure. It's all good though, I'm not too concerned. The truck runs great, I average 13.8 MPG on an 08 with 115K so it's whatever. I'd love to somehow get in touch with the previous owner though. I have his first and last name and would like to just discuss the truck and what all has been done to it haha.

Yea they remotely accessed my computer and pulled the tune info and just told me that the ECU strategy code wasn't the factory flash? I'm not sure exactly. He said I was basically putting a tune on top of a tune. He seemed annoyed that I was calling initially to be honest. In the end he was helpful though.

You bring up a good point though.. Maybe I should call them back and see if they could give me any details on the current tune. Would they be able to give me info on the current tune if it was tuned with another device other than one of SCT's?

As long as they saved a copy of the backup your programmer made they would be able to look at it (even if it was programmed with other software) and would be able to see any changes that their software has access to.

Gotcha! I didn't even think about that. I'll call them back and see what info they can get for me. I sold the tuner this afternoon so I guess I'd have to buy another one if I wanted to tune it again based on the information SCT can give me.
