I mean, he’s not wrong with his estimation of breaking into the 12’s. Turning up the boost a bit while disabling all the torque management in the ECU is all the turbo engines need. This whole stock vs stock comparison is silly, when it comes to racing. Who ever heard of someone focusing on racing, but not modifying the vehicle?

I just want to see a 93 octane perf tuned 2018 5.0 vs. a 2017/18 93 octane perf tuned 3.5 ecoboost, same drive/cab configuration go head to head.

Its hard to argue the 5 star tuning 2017 3.5 ecoboost laying down 445rwhp/500rwtq on a 93 perf tune.

But, that doesn't really mean that it will be considerably faster than the 5.0 in the quarter mile. I am just curious to see how well the 5.0 holds up apples to apples.

Supercharge the 5.0 and it's game over. Not even a comparison, no chance the ecoboost keeps up. A modified reg cab 2wd 3.5 ecoboost couldn't keep up with a crew cab 4wd supercharged '18 5.0.

I agree. With turbo cars, the performance is only held back by how much fuel you can supply. Im sure a 2.7 can get into the 12's with enough boost.

The Ecoboost will win that, the 5.0 is not going to pick up 90-100 whp and the main thing tunes fix for the ecoboost is they pull right to 6000 rpms and make peak power there, so no rolling over at 5 grand like the stock tune.

And i believe my current ET is still faster than he's gone anyways. So i guess i don't really need them, i just want to pound it home lol.
