There is a video on youtube of that exhaust on a 5.0, loud as hell and drones. I thought about it for my supercharged truck, but then abandoned the idea as it's too loud for a daily. Flows good though!

I'm still waiting for someone to bite the bullet on the Bold Performance Exhaust.

I put the 12589 on mine. Along with TWO of magnaflows ultraquiet resonators in line. It sounds alright for an ecoboost doesn't drone and isn't loud at all.

Now... i didn't put the exhaust because i wanted to hear the truck more, ecoboosts sound like ****. I NEEDED the exhaust and that's it. So i set out to make it quiet while keeping a relatively straight through muffler essentially.

Same here... How do you like the magnaflow resonators? Do they make a significant noise or drone difference? I almost went that route but decided to go cheap instead with some $30 amazon resonators.

I dunno, i don't have any comparison besides to the stock resonator and stock muffler on vs this. Stock was essentially damn near silent. All engine noise and tone came from up front.

With this the noise definitely comes out the exhaust, but it's a pretty clean tone, it isn't raspy.

Is this possible with one of the mentioned mufflers? TIA
Great question, 8Ball. Those mufflers are different sizes, which means they will contain different amounts of packing material. Generally speaking, the larger mufflers have more, making the volume of the truck lower. The popular tried-and-true choice for most trucks is a 5x8x18" size like 12259. We are unsure of your mods, but we know with an otherwise stock truck, this muffler has great driveability (no drone) and a nice, balanced volume for street driving. So I removed the resonator today and installed 2 1/2 piping from the Y to a Flowmaster super 44 with 2 1/2 out. The cabin drone is insane, sounds awesome and very loud on the exterior but the 1-2,500 rpm interior is very droning

Don't put flowmaster anythings on your truck man. Should have definitely put a magnaflow option on.

I've been running the MBRP pre-axle side exit for about 2 years. I've been very happy with it, but it is on the louder side of things on my NA 5.0. I think it'd be too loud with headers or a catless Y
