Default Awful fuel mileage after whipple install.

I have a 2wd Lariat, I recently installed a whipple with the stock throttle body. I have driven about 15 miles so far and the fuel mileage is awful. My average WAS about 17.7. After the whipple install, the average is 12.1. A drop was expected but not this much. Should I be worried about this or will it get better? Could I have a fuel leak? If you have a whipple, please tell me your average. Did you see a big MPG drop after you installed the whipple?

you've driven 15 miles, and you're watching the electronic gauge. Bruh.

Perhaps run through a couple tanks and calculate it manually before calling it terrible?

How often has your foot been to the floor since the install?

Sounds like leadfootitus. I had that when I had my Procarged 01' Supercrew, it got 14 mpg average.

It shouldn't affect it very much. But 15 miles is hardly enough to tell if it really changed.

I notice this after every modification that I add then after multiple tanks the true mileage will start to show.

Go take a drive and hold 45 mph, 55mph, and 65mph. Report back with findings.

Man, i hope you guys are right about this. Right now this bad fuel mileage would be the only spoiler. Are you running the 3.31 gears also?

I'm running 3.31's. I'm averaging 20.0 mpg since installing the Sc.
