My truck.....5060!!!! '

'13 RCSB STX with the roush blower and intercooler resevoir. That's really a surprise. I figured maybe 4600lbs tops.

That's a huge deficit to make up for in the horsepower to weight department. Should have bought a Mustang lol.
Yup. Which is why I always argue with fellow boosters who are dropping big coin on turbo upgrades, exhausts etc, for the 11-14 truck, when they could go buy a 2018 tune only Ecoboost and probably be as fast or faster without having to outlay so much liquid cash. Tune only 460 RWHP + 700 lbs lighter is huge.

Obviously the same argument goes for the 5.0.

It's so crazy seeing tune only ecoboost's going 12.xx sec 1/4 mile.
If I wasn't set on supercharging I would have gone with a tuned ecoboost for sure.

Too far into it to turn back now. I could try to sell it I suppose but it's hard to sell a truck like mine, unless there's someone looking for something already with a lot of mods.

To be fair, you're at a pretty solid "finish point" in your build. Much different than the 11-14 guy who's just now contemplating boost.

That's pretty much the exact reason why I sold my 2012 ecoboost. I bought it brand new in '12 and it only had 50k miles when I sold it last year.
Just would have cost way too much to sqeeze any power out of it.

There's a lot more that could be done, but the truck's weight is always going to be a liability. But I love the way this truck looks with the street wheels on it. I'm sure I could start over with a new truck and do the same build and be a lot faster....but this one has been paid for a long time. I could spend a lot of money on it and still come out way less than selling and starting over with a lighter truck. Of course it's never going to be as fast as a comparable '15+ truck. But like BadCon said, there's always going to be something newer or faster.

Amen to that. Eventually you just have to sit back and enjoy what you built.

...and yes she does look good on street wheels

Thank you....but...

You have no idea how many times I've had the suspension out from under that truck getting it where I want it. At least 1/2 a dozen.

If your not interested in towing or using it as a truck you could convert to coil over in the rear and ditch the leaf springs
