I'm new to auto cars I always had manuals. Converters what do they do.
Just got my truck shipped to boost works in Texas for a twin turbo kit. I have 373 gears with 32in tires.

I could not justify doing a gear swap to go from 3.31 to 3.55. Also, the tires I drive around with every day are 31.9" again, I feel 4.10's will be a great addition. But hey I've been wrong in the past.

So your truck already has a converter stock. When you are at the line and you want to feed the engine some revs for a good launch you'll feel the truck start to want to pull forward at about 1200ish rpm. That's the stall speed. So in theory if you get an aftermarket stall converter at say 3200 rpm. You could freely rev until that rpm and launch hard! Similar to putting clutch to the floor in a manual and revving the engine to desired rpm and letting er' rip. These 5.0's don't make a ton of power in the lower rpm band so a stall could be a very nice addition to let you launch in the meat of your power band.

Yeah the 5.0 isn't very good down low I just sold my 2015 gt 750whp and it sucked till about 4RPM and then it pulled really hard almost to much for the street haha

Ideally it should behave normally under regular driving conditions. I know circle d kinda has the market cornered with converters for this transmission. I'd shoot them a call.

I hear you. These 3.31 gears just don't pair up well IMO. Also, I lost more power down low with the addition of the boss intake manifold.

If you ignore the cost, how does the Mustang cam upgrade compare to the COMP Cam NSR supercharged cam?

I dunno man, but I've spent enough time talking to cam lobe designers to completely scare me off from aftermarket camshafts. If there is an oem part that gets you anywhere near what you want, I would go with that. The gt cams are a good example, plus boss, cj, baby cj, cpc gt350, etc. all ford parts. Long term reliability is the reason. The aftermarket either doesn't care about it or knowingly sacrifices it for a power edge. Also, the whole valvetrain really needs to be engineered as a system in order to make it last.
