Waiting on a factory order 2.7 with 3.73's to replace the 2016 5.0 I have now.
I reached out to Torrie and he got back to me right away. Looking forward to working together when it arrives. Would like to see low 12's on E40.....

But I am NOT looking forward to the lame engine sound, oh well, trying something new after a disappointing experience with my 2018 5.0......

Check out Livernois Motorsports. They have videos on their YouTube channel with side to side comparisons of what their f150 2.7 tune is capable of, along with dyno Numbers. Oh and they fixed the 10 speed trans so that it shifts properly.

Just know that you will have a device that is vin locked and only supported by Livernois. Last I saw, it costs $250 to get it unlocked and re-married to another vin.

I prefer SCT because you get to use ANY tuner that supports the device and can re-use or sell the device without an additional fee. The x4 I'm currently using came from my last vehicle and I've used tunes from 3 different companies. Considerably more flexible.

I use HP tuners, currently running that on my 2016, and my 2018, and working with my brother on a DSG tune. I have the hardware / software, so it just makes sense, Sold my SCT stuff, and would NEVER go back. HP Tuners is light years ahead. Interesting too that some tuners say that there isn't enough parameters in SCT to properly control the 10 speed.

Either way, I see no compelling evidence to us Livernois, no offense intended.

SCT and HPtuners are both solid choices and that allows you multiple options for tuners down the road if you like. I use software from both of them all day long everyday.

Livernois is the best tuner for the 2.7 by a large margin. Only problem would be having to use their device. Just by doing research no one else is as good for our engine.
