I got the fuel rails and injectors installed on the Manifold.

Place the orings in to the fuel rail blocks. Use a little grease to keep them in place while they are being assembled.

Mount the blocks to the fuel rails. Both rails are the same the blocks are different. The one for the drivers side has a smaller port for fuel pressure sensor you should have removed from the rails a while back. Use Blue Loctite on the bolts.

Install the all the fitting and fuel pressure sensor in the fuel rails.

Install the injectors with the lock bracket in the fuel rail. Make sure the injectors are clocked correctly the drivers side, the one with the pressure sensor should have the connector towards the front of the truck. Passenger side to the rear. This is in bold in the Whipple manual. Also use some grease on the o-rings so they slip into the rails easier.

Mount the fuel rails on the manifold. Use Blue Loctite on the bolts.

Install the fuel cross over hoses. Note one end of the hose is formed at a 90° the other end looks to be about 45°. I'm not sure exactly which end should go where, and I didn't see this this mentioned in the manual so install them to where they don't rub the manifold.

A few more random pictures of the injectors installed on the manifold. This is the drivers side.

Passengers side.

There is a protective cover that came with your kit that installs over the rear fuel line.

The instructions say nothing about this...

I found the bag with the rear fuel line protector, covered the hose and reinstalled it. Also installed the MAP sensor included in the kit to the rear of the intake manifold.

Use a some grease on the o-ring and don't forget to use blue LocTite on the sensor.

I had to unscrew the fuel rail bolts after I put the intake manifold on to get to some of the manifold bolts to torque them with a torque wrench.

Thanks! Maybe I'm missing something but there appears to be a HUGE mistake in the manual. It tells you to install the manifold and blower separately, Will that work because there are two bolts on the bottom. Can you get to those bolts on the truck?

Reading ahead, there is also a section were they talks about the passenger side heater hose. I'm totally confused on what they are saying.

Mike

Pre-install the MAP sensor cable onto the sensor. It should be in the wire bag. Remove the front crossover hose for now if you already put it on. The 90° elbow question I had will be explained in a later post.

I also figured out the heater hose for the passenger side. What the picture in the manual shows is what is cut off from the factory hose. We will get to that later also.

Install the orings into the bottom of the manifold. The empty fuel rail box is the perfect size to rest it on and keep the weigh off the fuel supply tubes. As mentioned earlier you can remove the front hose. We will reinstall it after the manifold is back on the truck in the proper orientation.

One thing to note. Using a mirror to find and look at sensors or removing them makes life alot easier. The ones on the back of the Intake manifold are a pita.
