The ride home at rush hour was not conducive for testing, 100 mi of bumper to bumper traffic
Truck feels very torquey though rolls out to 100 effortlessly
very quite dont don’t hear it at hwy speeds
ill burn a little rubber today and feel her out

Thanks Ray. I found out the other night, while chasing down a dodge dually with a suped up cummins in Mexico, that my truck tries to govern out at 110mph, but I kept in it and wound up around 120mph before I caught him and got out of it. Is yalls governor the same?

ok so here is another question. Whipple tuning seems awesome, but have any aftermarket tuners been able to work to the effectiveness of Whipple's? For instance, Five Star's tunes are amazing for tunes on an n/a only engine, but do they just use the factory fueling tables with the torque command increased?

I ask this because I keep leaning towards building a turbo setup with a s472-sxe, but would like to use all these nice controls the engine has to keep things safe. This would be next year when I settle down at home with a typical job so downtime would not be as big of a deal, but I read where people put turbo setups on 15 and 16 model f150s and tuning was a pain.

Lots of good tuners out there. I wouldn’t worry about it.

yea I figured. there are a couple good ones in Houston and I don't live far from there. I just did not know if Whipple's tune was special over what you would get from a custom tune basically. it would be nice to have your waste gates opened by the knock sensors if there was an issue. kind of like how their bypass opens if there is an issue.
