So I am breathing life into this thread.
I’ve been trying to do my homework when it comes to superchargers and what’s out there as well as what seems to be reliable and with good numbers. You really can’t go wrong with any of the blowers- ( procharger,Edelbrock,Roush, whipple). They all look like quality units with only tuning to either be there best friend or worst enemy. With that said when the time comes,I will be rolling with a whipple when the funds allow it. Whipple looks to be the best bang for a guys dollar.
In searching I came across this thread and read the article that you guys linked. Pretty impressive how whipple goes back to the drawing board and creates a almost whole new blower based on lost room in the valley from the added direct injection system. AND bring the displacement up to 3L. Now I don’t have a horse in this race with my 2017,but why is the gen 5 limited to only the 2018 and up mustangs and not the 2018 f150’s? Are they not the same engine save for different cams and intake manifold with the manifold being more or less a moot point anyways? Everywhere I’ve looked it only offers up to 2.9.
If you guys know of any information out there or a link to a good read on the subject,I’d like to check it out. Maybe someone’s adapted and retrofitted the latest version onto our truck?

Unbroken, are you running the electric fans on your set up? Don’t remember seeing it in your build thread, but it might go without saying and or I just missed it. I do tow a TT a decent amount with my truck in the summer so I’m sure for the extra 400$ it would be a peace of mind thing. Just wondering how much of a difference they make.

They won't hurt anything (though they do restrict airflow at highway speeds), but are hardly necessary.
I have a Roush supercharger kit, and due to the placement of the heat exchanger it is even more vulnerable to low airflow conditions as the heat exchanger is mounted in the bumper, away from the radiator and main cooling fan. In the summer (Texas) I'd see IAT's in stop and go traffic around 145 degrees, but those would drop 30 degrees or more as soon as I started rolling again. Regardless, I spent some coin and bought the Roush cooling fan upgrade, and my 145* idle IAT's went down to around 120*. However it made absolutely jack all difference in drivability or performance, as again as soon as you start rolling those temperatures drop almost instantly.
For any sort of daily driving use on city streets and highways it doesn't make any difference, at least on my application. About the only time I even turn on my secondary cooling fans is when I'm at the drag strip, everywhere else they stay off.

I'm currently waiting on my 2020 LeadFoot F150 4X4 RCSB with the Whipple kit preinstalled from Beechmont Ford and curious as to what power and torque numbers can be expected from the stock Whipple tune as well as potential 1/4 mile times (I know, different elevations, track, prep, temp etc) I may expect to see? Thanks in advance!!! PS, the wait is killing me!!!

With a reg cab you should see mid 11's pretty easy.
I went thru beechmont for my truck as well. There were a few hiccups along the way but for the most part it was a fairly smooth process. I would recommend them to anyone. Being a company who does tons of internet sales they sort of cut out alot of the typical salesman bs once they know you're a serious buyer. I enjoyed it much more than buying local and I live in TX where the pricing is usually pretty competitive. Plus, I was able to get a custom ordered truck (to my liking), whipple, opg/cs, and katzkin seats all under msrp (out the door). Delivered straight to my driveway; not a bad deal to me.

Super easy, call Jack Woolum, tell him what details trim etc and that you want the SC package, all over the phone, waiting on my paperwork via UPS to sign the deal, really easy. They were even able to get me zero % financing!
