Ford says 91/93 is used for "towing" to increase performance. What they meant was it makes more power and resists detonation even under increased engine and intake temps.

My buddy that tunes (vittuned) has an F150 and he confirmed to me that it adds precisely 2 degrees of timing. Both the gen1 and the gen2 add 2 degrees of timing.
Thanks

I have a 2017 F150 502A Ecoboost and was going to get another 5.0. I was able to get better mileage with my 2012 then my 2017. I'm just about to get an oil change and was wondering suggestions on full synthetic, half or what I should get and if there is lucas or anything like that that can help mileage and performance. Also would like to get the best performance mod for performance and fuel efficiency and looking at the five star as I had one for my 2012.

Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We almost got stuck but we didn't!

I am sure you will get better advice in this thread from others shortly, but in the broad strokes a solid canned tune conservative enough it will not cause boost creep in any motor you throw it on, something with safe end AFR's of (I am guessing here as I don't have experience with the tuning the EB's) 13/1-14/1 can yield really significant gains with very little danger. To stretch past the canned tunes of companies like say five star, or in the Subaru world Cobb, you either need to log and send data back to refine the tune or better have it tuned on a dyno where the mill can be monitored and tuned real time. But a well understood stage one canned tune, one just sent as a standard package, can net 90% of the gains a custom tune can and if you get it from a reputable tuner with a lot of tunes out there it will be very safe. I ran a stage 1 360hp/460tq tune on my WRX for 140,000 miles without a single problem.
