Received the high capacity heat exchanger, Whipple’s official name for it, on Monday and will be installing it tomorrow.

I'm surprised it's not called "crusher".

TX-Ripper,

How much lower temps on average are you seeing right now from the larger LTR? I know you are still burping it but it should be close enough to get some numbers.

Really hard to say.

very small amounts of air will cause the temps to be 5-10 degrees higher.

its been 8 days so I should be close to it not taking more coolant, took 2-3 oz this morning.

at least 15 degrees lower then before

Added about 1 to 1 and 1/2 oz of coolant this morning.

after the truck was at operating temperature around 199-201 degrees.

ambient temperature 74-78 on the drive to work (from the Nav display)

I was seeing 23-25 degrees above ambient at cruising speed of 60-70mph on a 20 min drive

For reference I was seeing 40-50 degrees higher the ambient consistently before the upgrade.
