Did y’all use Water Wetter too? I have 2 bottles in the radiator and 2 bottles in the Whipple system.
the first time I didn’t, the 2nd time I did and I feel like the 2 bottles help take the air out quicker.

I am running about a 64/36 mix in my intercooler. That is 4 quarts (1 gallon) of Ford antifreeze and 7 quarts of distilled water. This system apparently holds 2 3/4 gallons or 11 quarts. That is a lot.

The Lightning intercooler system held 4.2 quarts so the Whipple system holds almost 3 times as much.

At that mix ratio I am good down to -6 degrees. A 50/50 ratio is good to -34 degrees. It never gets that cold in the Memphis area. Water cools better than antifreeze. The antifreeze keeps the coolant from freezing, raises the boiling point, fights corrosion and has slight lubricating properties. A 36% mix of antifreeze gets it done in my part of the country and will give me a little better cooling. I only bought a gallon of antifreeze and 2 gallons of distilled water so it all worked out great for me. I only had a quart of distilled water left over.

the bolt that comes out of the lower control arm (I think ) is the lowest spot, that bolt punctured the boards.

Just position so the 2x4 doesn’t bend the brake rotor shield. And be careful.

I’m running Stifflers now. You just have to drill an extra hole in the frame, otherwise they’re perfect.
