I kept looking at the (drivers side)90 bend to 90 bend set up they gave me that kind of kinked as you folded it back on itself to hook up it to the heat exchanger.
The U bend just made more sense.

Update: I pulled the grill on my truck and flipped the heat exchanger to the correct orientation - 5/8 barb on the passengers side and 3/4 on the drivers side.
Then I removed the 3/4 to 5/8 adapter and the 5/8 ID 90 bend hose from the drivers side hose (IC pump to Heat Exchanger).
Re using this piece on the passengers side
Then I cut the 3/4 hose on the passengers side back (Heat Exchanger to Supercharger) about 5 inches at the end where it came out next to the radiator and attached the 3/4 to 5/8 adaptor with a new 3/4 gates Powergrip hose clamp (Gates 32929) and I cut the existing 5/8 90 bend hose down only leaving about 1 1/2 ins straight run (basically created a straight 3/4 to 5/8 reducer hose) - Side note: if you look hard enough at the pictures whipple provides in the instructions, my new reducer looks the same
Moving to the drivers side, I now had a long 90 bend hose coming from the IC pump (existing), I attached a new gates 3/4 to 3/4 hose connector (Gates 28605) and a new gates 3/4 ID Ubend/180 hose (Gates 19607), clamped them with a couple more 3/4 powergrips.
And buttoned it back up.
My IAT temps returned to a 30-35 degree from ambient. I was seeing 40-50 and once heat soaked the system would not shed the heat.
One truck down, One more to go.
Thanks to @UNBROKEN for Pointing this out.

PS: The entire install was not hard.
For the $1200-2500 I saved and the same for my brother (his I did in one long day) it was worth it.
If I had paid someone to install and they did what I did, I would never know about how to fix it.
I would be back to the installer paying them to diagnose what they did wrong.

And you can view them with sct live link or hptuners scanner or any other logging software that views excel format.
Warning: If you plan on going to a custom tune, you better check with the tuner on which flash/logging device they use.
Some are only using SCT and some are only using Hptuners ngauge
And if you want to run an 11.5 with your truck, the whipple tune will not cut it.
Its too safe.

We did some logging and testing on mine yesterday working on shift points and making sure everything looks good. It’s a 16 but we stopped, or I should say my ***** stopped, at 7400 in a sport mode. lol
It’s flashing 14 psi on the gauge right at the shift point but everything looked good. IAT’s about 30 over ambient so I guess I need to add the fan kit but otherwise all was well.

Whipple doesn't offer a fan upgrade for the 2018, if they did I would already have it.
Whipple says they will have an upgraded Heat Exchanger for the 2018 F150 kits coming out in a couple weeks that will drop IAT temps a good amount as it is larger and a duel pass design.
I will be buying it as soon as they let me.
The best ROI if you want to run 11s with a crew cab will be a custom tune like you have.

An Aeroforce gauge is all you need to monitor IAT and A/F. It will display 2 items at once. It will monitor numerous things but those are the 2 most important to me.
