Couple minutes, then I restarted 10 times and let it die.

I went out there and cranked it for the 3rd time and it didn’t run 5 seconds before it died. I kept cranking it until it wouldn’t even sputter. Thanks.

My 2016 didn’t run near that long. It must be the direct injection pressure. This think ran forever before it died. I didn’t want to get the engine hot if I was wrong.

The new instructions Whipple sent me are A1R6. Updated Feb 2018. They still have not corrected what you mentioned about which barb size goes where on the heat exchanger.

The pump has a flow direction on it.

You want the 3/4 barb on the inlet (drivers side) and the 5/8 barb on the outlet (passengers side)

The 5/8 barb on the outlet restricts the flow and keeps the coolant in the heat exchanger (LTR) longer.

I am going back and editing my passed posts giving out bad information.

I'm about to do this on two trucks thanks to the guys installing this week end...

Looks like the Instructions are correct (install with the 5/8 barb on the passengers side) and the information Whipple tech gave me was incorrect when I ran into the issue of having a 3/4 hose on the passengers side that was too big for the 5/8 barb. I called them and they told me the instructions were wrong.

Sooooo, the issue I have been chasing with high IAT temps is from my own doing and a little help from the great guys at Whipple tech support.

Maybe its a good thing I haven't finished my install write up...

Like I said...I didn’t have the 3/4-5/8 hose either even though they swore they couldn’t possibly have left out an expensive, custom made Gates hose. Email responses stopped completely when I asked for one. Dustin Whipple said he’d send me one a couple of weeks ago but I’ve already taken care of their mess myself.

OReilly had everything I needed. I'm going to cut this hose up to make the 90 bend I need (5/8 ID) and use this 5/8 to 3/4 connector and some Powergrip's to make a leak free hose.

It just wont have any anti abrasion mesh sleeve on it

That’s what I did except I used a Dayco brass adaptor instead of plastic. I wasn’t gonna beg Whipple for a hose.
