I ordered my Whipple on April 02 at 15% off. I am just waiting on it to arrive. I was told 4-6 weeks.
I am interested in your write up. Sometimes the order of steps and other tips can make the job easier.

The VMP Dyno graph is a tall stretch I’d say. I have 17 Roush Phase 2. Comparing stock Whipple tune to the stock Roush tune, there’s no comparison. The Roush tune is very mild with mediocre trans tuning at best. My truck before this was a phase 2 Raptor. The Roush tune again was lacking. The VMP tune helped a bit, then I had it Dyno tuned and it was way better. My truck now I’ve run the VMP tune and trans tuning was spot on but power was lacking. It’s getting Dyno tuned and long tubes in 2 weeks so I’ll see how it does. Whipple or Roush on a F150 is tons of fun. You’ll have a quick truck. But this debate will never end. Just agree to disagree

I was wrong, with the 3.625 pulley: I hit 13 psi on 93 octane just fine. Direct injection is a magical thing...

Anyone else get there whipple kits installed? An if so did whipple get the issues fixed with the wrong size hoses etc? I seen the dyno was at 600 whp I assume 93 octane an a catback would give a slight increase to those numbers.

EDITED: This information was revised to correct bad information I posted.

Install per the instructions, just make sure you have the proper hose connection on the passengers side 5/8 barb from the (LTR) Heat exchanger - the hose Whipple provided was 3/4 ID and was too big for the 5/8 barb.

Both the Revision A1R4 and A1R5 instructions tell you to install the heat exchange to the wrong side. Says "Mount the LTR to the brackets with the 5/8” barb on passenger side"

The 5/8 barb goes to the drivers side, as the hose on the drivers side coming to it is 5/8 and the passengers side hose is 3/4 matching the 3/4 barb on the passengers side.

k thanks I'm thinking about getting the stage 2 kit with larger cooler an fans during the Black Friday sell . An hopefully install it myself during the holidays. Now just waiting on my truck to come in I ordered almost 3 months ago .

Install was easy, just takes time.

You will have to have 2 people to load the supercharger into the lower manifold and you guys need to be strong or use a cherry picker...

The stage 1 and 2 kits are the same except for the throttle body.

No other option are available at this time.

Thanks for the tip on the heat exchanger. I was thinking a cherry picker would be the hot ticket. It's really back in there a long way.

I have a quote from a Certified Whipple installer for $1200-$1500 that's only 45 minutes away. It's very temping and would get me going quicker.

I'm a little sketchy on how to apply the Whipple tune. Do you have to send the ECM to them if you bought the programmer? When I talked to Whipple 6 months ago they said yes, which didn't make a lot of sense...Has this changed?

Also thanks for clarifying the whole Stage 1/Stage 2 issue. Back when we bought ours they didn't call them that. The big TB was just an option.

Mike

You load the tune now from the Tomahawk tool (hand held programmer), sending the ecm was before the tomahawk came out.
