The worst part of this install to me was removing the stock intake manifold. Once unbolted I was planking across a blanket that was across the support structure in front of the radiator with my feet on the garage wall for stability. The manifold would only come out a few inches and you have to reach around the back of it to unplug all the electrical connectors without seeing what you are doing. There are several connectors and you have to figure out by touch where the release is along with how that particular clip works while planking. Maybe I should have used my telescopic mirror to see but I could find it at the time.
Another tip is to pull fuse # 50 under the hood to run it out of fuel instead of messing with the fuel pump driver under the truck as the instructions call for. It takes a while to run the direct injection out of fuel. Also don't tighten down the four bolts for the fuel rails. Only put them in a couple of turns so you can remove the bolts and move the fuel rails a little to torque the outside intake manifold bolts.
There is only side you can actually put one foot inside the engine bay. That is the drivers side strut tower. I barely got the toe of my size 13 tennis shoe in there. I had one foot on the front bumper and the other on the strut tower when I was sliding the supercharger in place.
Mine is an FX4 that has not been lower yet. I took the 10 bolts out of the air dam and took it off for the install so I would not have to jack it up. This would probably work for a 2wd if it has not been lowered.

I removed the front wheels and set the front end down on some 2x4s

I just paid for my ID Motorsports custom tune and Jake said they would be ready to do it in about a week.

The Tomahawk won't program my truck. It worked fine to get the REQ file for Whipple to create a tune. Now when I plug it in the display list the file name, Program, Diagnostics and Setup.
When I select program it says "the programming function is not available", When I select Diagnostics it says it is not available. Setup works.
I tried deleting the 2 files on the SD card and adding the back. Nothing is working.

Make sure the the SD card is formatted in FAT, I took mine out and checked it. Any other format will probably not work.

I reformatted it FAT and still no Luck. I have the APP.LDR and Tomahawkxxxx.bin file on the SD card.
In the email I got with the Dropbox links for the files it said the tuner would do a firmware update first and then go to the option to program. It never did a firmware update. The lower red LED keeps flashing until I chose Program and then it stops flashing.
Looks like it will sit until Monday.
