2018 5.0 5star E85 tune 435-440rwtq 430-435rwhp

@5star just finished their 2018 5.0 E85 time (free update for current tune holders)

the dyno looks like it’s about 435-440rwtq and 430-435rwhp

Awesome results!

Exactly around what i expected powerwise considering some of the e85 and tuning 1/4 mile times i've seen.

These things are solid...and are gonna be a lot of fun.

Holy crap!

An additional 100 hp/tq out of a NA engine with just a tune is unreal.

TX-Ripper 03-24-2018 10:46 PM

The tq is unreal over the 93 performance tune.

Damn I wish these numbers were possible with the 2015 5.0

Sirikenewtron 06-20-2018 11:25 PM

Very nice! Yup I'm pretty positive I'll be in a 2019 5.0 next year

Does the 5Star tune automatically detune if it senses a lower grade fuel? Reason I ask is that we see quite a bit of E-85 labeled gas with less the 85% alcohol and run into high water content too. Curious how closely you need to monitor the fuel and will the truck back itself down if you get some poor gas. Same question for those with a 93 tune?

it is an e85 only tune, not a flex fuel tune like the oz tuning omega
