Exactly why it's BS. Many here say the Eco is quicker with 3.55, and the 5.0 is quicker with 3.73, so each should test with whichever gear is quickest. If they had the same fuel one of them would be disadvantaged. Eco would be quickest with 93 and 5.0 quickest with E85. The video proves nothing and neither do any of the others like it.

Funny it's the same results as the 11-13' models. The same results as the 15-16s. The 5.0 still doesn't beat the ecoboost, I knew it. The only time it won, the 3.5 was spinning for 3 seconds. Notice the window stickers on the trucks :^/

My question is who gives a ****? Go to any drag strip across the country and count how many people are drag racing their vehicle bone stock. Not many...I'm just so baffled that after all these years, I continue to read post after post of grown men cry babying about whose truck is faster. It's sad and weird. Customize your truck to your liking, get out to the nearest drag strip and have some fun. Maybe surprise some mullet warrior canaries in the process. Merry Christmas

I don’t have a lot of spare time for racing anymore...but I intend to destroy all but the heaviest modded EB’s when I do.
My new license plate should reel a few in for their destruction. lol

Not me. I'm a Ford guy. I'd rather beat dodge, chevy, and esp foreign trucks being a veteran, and the son and grandson of veterans. I've owned dozens of Ford trucks and man they're reliable . They've never let me down. They're all quick now. And the guy with the blue 5.0 is right, who really gives a ****. In the end , the guy who has the most money to put in will have the fastest truck. Me personally being a grown God fearing man am finished with this 5.0 vs Eco debate. Merry Christmas

That Ecoboost looks like it needed more traction in 2WD. A lot of wheel spin in that first launch.

So Thanksgiving the family gets together. My brother is needing a new shop truck so we are out looking. He owns a tranny shop and says that he doesn't see why all the excitement over the ecoboost as they are dog slow. He is interested in getting a 5.0

So, after a day of test driving he says "Now I see why everybody likes the ECO, those things are quick, but the ones I see have been around a while and they all run like crap." He bought a Denali. So there you have it. An unbiased decision from a professional deciding if he wants the ECO or 5.0. Obviously since he got the Denali it wasn't based on money.
