Also, I have taller and wider than stock size tires, which I now regret. No sense going for broke with that crazy headwind either. With no wind, I would have likely tried a few, just to see how close to 11's I could get. But I really don't see my 60 foot dropping much either way.

I'm trying to figure if some octane boost, and a 125 shot will get me into the 11's next year. Going to a slightly smaller tire would probably get me there.
Yeah, I guess I spent too much time watching the Drag Week live feeds recently. The hard-core guys running 1.6 second 60' have their stuff dialed in with gears and slicks and money...
...and a thousand pounds less, another 100+cid displacement, et.c et.c et.c

What is the gear ratio in that truck? Octane, MOAR NOSS!!! and smaller tires might just get you in the 11's. Too bad you can't shift the transfer case while rolling...

I thought 1.7 was pretty stout for what it is.

3.55's (it's in my sig lol). but I wouldn't want to shift out of 4wd while putting down 500+hp. In fact, it stuck in 4 wd at the end of the track a few times.

I was going more in the direction of starting in 4Low and shifting to 4Hi somewhere down the track... 2nd gear probably. hehehe

The ECU won’t even allow that to happen.

4 low is actually a lot slower than 4 high. I suspect that things are near their limits with a nitrous launch.

Yeah, that's the thing.

Bigcat, I was going along the lines of it being too-bad that the transfer case couldn't be shifted on the fly. But that gets into Hemi's remark, pretty sure running a nitrous launch through a ~2.3:1 gear reduction before the driveshafts would make u-joints and pinions have a very short lifespan, and then a hard Lenco-style shift would be just as bad.

60-foot times could be real impressive, and/or 4-tire-fire burnouts when it runs out of traction on the line.

I'm sure this post will spark the ire of the anti-NOS crowd. As mentioned, we have a private road near me, and it just so happens that I met someone who has a 2015 with the Roush supercharger.
The trucks are sooooo close, but my truck launches harder with the NOS. We exchanged contact info and will be going heads up at the local drag strip in the spring. I'll use the $9000 (yes, $9k CAD....) I saved on my rig and do some dyno calibrations this winter.

And to the NOS haters / supercharger crowd.....I'm quite okay with my truck running 14's all day without NOS, burning regular fuel, etc, etc. NOS is bang for your dollar like nothing else.

Well, I love having the HP all day, every day. That is worth the extra $ to me. I hit the dragstrip twice this year. Hopefully more next year, but I may also steal this idea. I'd love to add a shot of NOS on top of the S/C and see where its at. But that is next years trick, this fall it's headers, throttle body, injectors, water/meth and a smaller s/c pulley.

I like where you went, but I want it ALL the time! LOL

I expected a little more mph out of it with that much extra power. You're making it all early that's for sure.

What was your 1/8 mile time?
