2.7 Quarter Mile
#11
I am anxious to see someone post up what their reg. cab sb 2wd 2018 will run with the 2.7.
Makes me wonder if the A10 will help as much as it has helped the 5.0 ?
I've looked on this board and have not found anything yet

Back in the Lightning's heyday people were modding and racing all the time. The one thing everyone on the Lightning forums started to notice was the fastest times were ran at Cecil.
The same truck would run at Englishtown then go to Cecil the next week and run 2 tenths faster. This applied to all the tracks in the northeast when compared to Cecil.
On the Lightning forums it became known as the Cecil mod.
History lesson of day.

Technically, the stock tundra 5.7 is the only one that ran 13.9. The stock rams were quicker. I've seen stock f-150 5.0 15-17's run 13.8 and of course Maurice running 13.2 in an '18. I'm not aware of any stock f-150 before 2015 that ran in the 13's, other than the 2nd gen lightning. Mine ran 13.5.

Above is car and drivers test.... copied and pasted from car and driver on 2.7. >>>> The 2.7 hustles this truck to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds and through the quarter-mile in 14.3. That’s 0.1 second slower to 60 and 0.1 second quicker in the quarter than the 365-hp 3.5-liter turbo V-6 that won the comparo. Consider it money well spent if you’re into holeshots, in the SuperCab at least.

1. It's plagiarism if you don't properly quote
2. The 2.7 they tested was 500 lb lighter than the 5.0 they tested, and no, the engine isn't 500 lb lighter.
3. It was tested in different conditions.
4. When tested at same weight/same conditions, the 5.0 blows the 2.7 away. See motortrend test.
5. How many of your posts and threads have been deleted by the mods and why?

I very well think the 5.0 @ 395hp should run mid 13s stock in a rcsb. I also think a rcsb 2.7 will run the same. Their both impressive engines, my whole point is how can a tiny 325hp 2.7 run that fast? It runs the same as a 6.2 420hp Chevy. And I'm just going off tested numbers
. From experience, it's a lot faster than that. I have a video I can post beating a Pontiac GTO in this stock F150 baby 2.7L
