I might dig into this on days off - I FIFO for 7 on and 7 off so as long as I can get the bike running (81 KZ1000...it’s either a float bowl issue or bad gas cap vent...I hope) I’ll start to tackle the manifold. I fetched IMRC connectors and Y harness adaptor from a member on the Mustang6G forum that was fabbing them up for their users. Should be plug and play - just have to line up a tune and get some hoses, just in case - but I don’t think our engine bays are as tight as the Mustangs so hopefully it’s a little easier to manage for hose lengths.

Oz has tuned for swapped trucks already, but I’ve been having issues with their tune lately. Ironically, my IMRCs locked open on the way back from Banff. Connections and vacuum lines were good, so I switched back to the 91PRx tune and she’s run like a beast ever since. So I might get MPT to datalog it and modify a file for me instead.

So other than wiring and the EVAP hoses it's a bolt-on?

As far as I can gather from reading through many, many pages of forum posts on 6G, yes. Should be no cutting involved. Just splicing (for the brave) or a few cables to buy (for the rest of us).

Good stuff - Thanks! I have seen a bunch on the Mustang swaps, but not a single F150.

Hmm, what about the map sensor? There isn't one on the stang, correct?

LOL, will do, I can't find the MAP sensor on a parts diagram, from what I gather, it's on the bottom of the manifold, so some hillbilly fabbing might be in order to get a proper retrofit into the stang manifold. I was reviewing some dyno tests of different manifolds, and it jumped out that the OEM F150 manifold has a peaks and valleys torque "curve", where the mustang manifolds have a much smoother curve all the way top to bottom. Manifold is half way here, the other issue is the wiring pigtails, which are on national backorder....

Link for Evap solution. It will need modification.

Almost have the bike sorted. After entirely too much digging and f**kery it was a bad gas cap vent. Of all things.

Does this yield much better benefits than the boss intake?
