I have a 2017 XLT 3,5 ECO Boost with manual climate control. I purchased the SYNC 3 Software Upgrade Support 1 × $60.00 from Marcus and couldn't be happier. Great fast communication from Marcus on all my before purchase questions and great shipping updates. USB arrived and I followed install directions and everything went perfectly except that I lost the remote start function from my phone. I talked to Marcus and he explained the issue and I called Ford and they seemed to know right away what the problem was. I have made a service appointment to have it taken care of. If Ford's fix works I will report what was done so anyone having this problem will know what to do to get it fixed. There is a thread here by AirborneApe that describes the manual step by step way of doing this procedure that is very good also. Due to health I found it much easier to due Marcus's version as it is quicker, easier and very much plug and play and suited my situation better. Both AirborneApe and Marcus are great guy's and both are great asset's to this forum!

Does anyone on this thread use the Ford/Alexa app for amazon music, and if so does Gracenotes work for you? Mine started working one day, now it doesnt anymore. I've asked in other threads with no success. Running GN version--1.1.1.1332(NA-0010)....maybe I need to roll back a few versions??

 

I just purchased the Sync 2 to Sync 3 upgrade from Watson_Tech, for my 2015 F150 Lariat 4x4. This is probably the upgrade I have waited for the longest. Can't wait to use Apple CarPlay in my truck.
