Are the boards set up to be hardwired, or are they the type that plug into the OBDII port?

The boards themselves are the factory Ford power boards that come standard on Platinum and limited trims which can be hard wired to work as factory using the instrument cluster.

However I don't have the factory modules because it was easier for me to just use an aftermarket module that simply plugs into the OBD2 port.

If you're concerned about leaving something always plugged in the obd port you can simply buy an OBD2 splitter and hide the running board module, it also doesn't draw any significant power while the truck is off maybe none at all.

I am definitely interested in the boards and I live in Kingwood. I’m out of town till Friday next week but will keep a lookout on this thread and If you have them still I’ll shoot you a note!

Sounds good I still have them just let me know, I'm in humble so you're pretty close by. A lot of people have been interested but either get scared it might be too complicated to install which it's not or they want me to ship which I'm not willing to do because it's just too expensive to ship.
