The SCABs seem to have less room between the back of the seat and the back wall of the cab. My son in law has a SCREW and I verified this myself.

Anyhow, the tiny strap that Ford provides somehow fell off of the latch on mine. I tried for several weeks to pull up on the release latch to no avail.

I was ready to send the Built Right strap back and Matt agreed to give me a refund. I asked my son in law to give it a try....and voila, he got it!

I installed the pull tab and strap with no issues.

Glad you got it! One of the things that trips people up with releasing the latch in general, I've found, is the desire to pull the pin straight up or towards the back of the truck. The way that the linkage is oriented, it actually needs to rotate slightly towards the front of the truck. In any case, thanks for the update and feedback!

I installed the BuiltRight mechanism this afternoon. It was VERY easy and it took longer to find my torx bit when I dropped it than it took to do the rest of the install!
For the out-of-sight and out-of-the-way storage that you get, EVERYONE should do this.
It is a well designed and well manufactured product.

Just got around to opening the box to install mine today and call it a coincidence what with today being Halloween, but there was a Jaw Buster in each box!

Hey all, just a heads up that these are currently backordered, but just barely. I've got a new batch of sewn black straps being completed this week, so we'll be shipping again a week from today. Colored strap kits are still available and shipping immediately.

Thank you all and thank you for spreading the word!

Yes. I installed one on my 2018 SCREW and it worked perfectly. If you watch the YouTube video for the install, the manufacturer describes how to fold up the seat to make more room behind, and you can then pull on the release pin. I was able to pull on the release pin with my finger when the seat bottom was up. Make sure though, that you pull on the correct pin (closest to the seat back), as there is also the latch pin back there, and your fingers may find it first.
