I haven't done much searching on this. What else is needed to make this work? Is this a simple swap out (other than the cooled seat buttons not being functional, and I'm assuming the dual climate control)?

Yes. All you have to do is swap yours over with this one and enable it in forscan. A 15 minute job. Dual zone and cooled seats will not work. Same temp on both passenger and drivers side. Setting a temp works and will adjust the fan speed for the desired temp.

Yes. As long as your truck is equipped with it.

Heated seats will/do NOT work as there is a variance in the 2 different FCIMs. I promise you. I have been digging into this for awhile. The only way to enable heated seats on an XLT again that has it from the factory is to buy the heated/cooled seat module from a Lariat or higher, install and reflash with FORScan. You MUST replace the heated module with a heated/cooled module. There is something that is different that the new FCIM is looking for that is not present in the heated module. In the beginning I thought mine were working also, but they weren't. Take it FWIW to you but im telling you, i've been down this path.....

I went out to check my heated seats now. I stand corrected. They do not work. My mistake. I thought I remembered messaging you goose, to ask about the functionality before I did the swap, and I thought you said yours worked, thats why I mentioned this. I edited my original post so there isn't any confusion.

Thanks. For those still interested, I will get back to this and get it working. Don't let this stop you from getting this bezel. Trust me, the OP is waaaay under the going rate of this! Buy it, it's a STEAL! The fix will come.
