Well, my odometer finally caught up to my new cluster yesterday and I swapped them out.

This was a really fun mod to do. Very easy to do the swap too.

Livnitup made it virtually foolproof. All the programming was done beforehand, all I had to do was plug it in. The odometer and hours were both correct, the needles were properly zero'd, the cluster defaults to Km/H (I'm in Canada)

Couple of things I noticed with the new cluster...

-The signal light "clicking" sound is a bit different. I think it is a bit more noticeable.

-The location of the signal light indicators is now at the top of the cluster. Used to be at the bottom. Again, seems like they are a bit more noticeable.

-The size of the font used to tell you what the cruise control is set at is a bit smaller than the font on the 4" cluster. Not really a big deal.

-The oil life monitor percentage is the same as what the old cluster said. Not sure if that is based on the mileage or hours, but it was nice to see that it was correct.

I've said this before, but I really like the red. It is deeper than what pictures show. Between the color and the inner speedometer numbers blacked out, I have a very unique cluster.

Thanks again, Livnitup. If anyone is on the fence about doing this upgrade, I highly recommend you to do it, and Clusters by Livnitup can make it painless for you.

Would these work on a 2011 F150 since they seem similar?

No, they wouldn't work.

What's the difference in the 8" 2018 vs the 8" 2016 versions?

Very little visually but the 2018s have ability for 10-speed transmissions, trailer BLIS, Adaptive Cruise Control w/stop & go technology with pedestrian/object detection. If you have a 2016 you wouldn't want a 2018 cluster in your truck because the vertical gear tree wouldn't display correctly.
