Arrow Wont stay running F150 4.9 6 cylinder

We have a 1990 ford F150. We have replaced so many parts: Fuel pump, starter, module, computer, and it still wont stay running. Hubby is trying to find the crank sensor on it too see if that may be the problem. Any suggestion to where that may be located? This is his baby even though it is old and should be retired he doesn't want to give up on it.

Thanks!

I have been there so many times. Throwing parts at a problem is what guys do but it's not too effective and always expensive. The crank positioner is located on the top of the transmission bell housing at the back of the motor. I don't think this is your issue however because it's a "start-no start" part. If it's bad the truck won't start at all. If it starts and runs then dies it's most likely a fuel issue. Have you replaced the filter in the frame rail under the drivers side of the truck? Maybe....Good luck
