Default Truck won't start

I have a 2000 F150 with a 4.6L Triton engine. My truck will not start. I got a new starter and it still won't start. When I turn the key, it just makes a weird sound. Any suggestions?

If its a rapid clicking sound, its the Starter Solenoid in the engine bay attached to the firewall. Its pretty much round and has a wire pretty much directly from the battery. If you buy one youll be able to identify it. On the passenger side of the firewall.
