Default Transmission "slips" out of Drive

Have a 2007 F150 Fx4 with 5.4 liter engine. When I put the truck in Drive it'll take off fine but soon "slips" into neutral. If I turn off O/D it's runs fine. Any ideas what's causing this and can it possible be fixed without replacing/rebuilding the transmission?

There are several solenoids on the trans that may be the culprit. Take it to a tranny shop and have them checked. Taking out of O.D. is a good indication of a electronic issue in the trans, not mechanical.

Thanks, Marc. I'll have it checked out but that eases my mind a little!
