I find it hard to believe there isn't an how-to or anything, but my search really hasn't turned up anything useful.


I have a 2011 5.0 w/6 speed auto. Looking to do a fluid change for the tranny.


Any tips or tricks? I'm dropping the pan and replacing the filter as well. Is there a torque converter plug like on older units ?

The transmissions on these trucks are "good for life" according to the manual unless you do a lot of severe towing.

Yea, and so was the transfer case on my AWD Edge that failed due to overheated fluid. Come to find out these were a common failure.

I really don't believe in "lubed for life".
