Hey team, long time reader, first time poster. I'm trying to replace the rear gasket on my transfer case (05 screw fx4). I've got it apart but there is this weird wire sticking through that won't let me pull the t case all apart. How do I get around this?

Ive never done this. But looks like the wire pulls off, and you can get the gasket over the wire

 

If it doesn't unplug inside the case, you'll have to cut it outside before it enters the case, where you have plenty of room to crimp it back together.
