Trans cooler line leak. 2007 F150 4.6
Well my upper cooler line to the radiator is leaking between the line and fitting.
I got the special tool from my Snap On guy and got the line out no problems. I was expecting there to be an o-ring there though. and there is not. So I saw this round thing inside the fitting, tried picking it out and it turns out its some plastic round piece with little tangs on it.
So my question is, where exactly is the sealing surface that is leaking on me? is it the fitting itself that needs replacement?
I also heard that if you remove that fitting the plate it mounts too internally will drop and then your totally screwed. Definitely not what I want.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
