I have an 85 f150 4.9, and i was just wonderin if it had the c4 or c5 tranny, if you know please let me know.. thanks

Man, to tell you the truth I haven't even really looked yet, just got the truck to my house about 3 hours ago( I just bought it)

 

thats how you identify them is how many bolts they have

not of the top of my head just go look right quick and ill tell you

 

4.9's had the E40D. My 93' 2WD does anyway. I don't know if there was a difference from the carb to EFI models. It's about a foot longer than a C4 and weighs a heck of a lot more; it's a real monster! For the crazy amount of torque the 4.9 puts out That engine wouldn't take long to rip up a C4. haha
