Default Torque Convertor Control Solenoid

I have this code P1740 if I replace the TCC will this help already changed the fluid (twice) I had to weld the Tail Section on my Transmission (cracked passenger side mount very common for this truck) when I started up it has not been the same everything looks good wiring harness out side the tranny that is systoms are no overdrive seems like its stuck in second with the occasionally jump to passing gear and then stays there slips in reverse at low revs will grab at high revs same with drive but not near as bad if you baby it the transmission fault doesnt come up oh the truck is a 2005 F150 4.6 the tranny is a 4R70E or 5L3P 4X2
