Question Steering wheel vibration when braking

I have a 2016 F-150 supercrew XLT, just hit 10k miles, and it has one annoying issue. When I'm braking and the truck is slowing between 55 and 40, the steeling wheel vibrates. Not violently, but I notice it every time. I had the oil changed and tires rotated at about 6,000, and I do not recall having the issue before this. Can this be related to the tire rotation?

My guess is the front brake rotors are warped (out of round)
I would take the truck to the dealer and complain about it.
The Brake warranty is only 12 months/12,000 miles, I know because my superduty started that around 10,000 and by the time I got 14,000 and took it in I was screwed!

Good luck and let us know what you find out

Thanks for the advice, I'll take it in next weekend, can rotors really get warped on a truck that's less than a year old?? Crazy...

One thing I should add is I don't feel it through the brakes, just the steering wheel, other forums have indicated I should feel the vibration through the pedal too if it's the rotors.

If it was the rears you would fell it in the pedal and the seat.
But the fronts usually show up in the steering wheel 1st
Try taking it down the freeway and hitting the brakes around 70 as your getting off the exit..... it should be very pronounced then.

My rotors were warped and still are from 3k miles. Fords rotor supplier must have been to the lowest bidder.

Lowest bidder? Well.... YEAH. My '12 (bought used) suffers from it and from what I've read here on the forum it's not uncommon. Will eventually replaced with aftermarket as I've read several complaints that the OEM replacements just did the same thing anyway.

I've had these sitting around for sometime now, soon as I get fed up with the shimmy I'll put them on, Powerstop brand.

Did the same to my old Super Duty.
Caught a sale thru rock auto...
Bought calipers, pads, hardware, and rotors....all power stop !
For the price the local stores wanted just for pads and rotors.
Lasted longer than the OEM's also....

Excessive/ uneven torque of the lug nuts are responsible for quickly warping a rotor than anything else.
