Speedometer is off
Just purchased this 2013 F150 and one of my haggling points was the speedometer is about 11 MPH off. It stays at 11 MPH in park and maintains the difference from the actual speed as I drive. Dealership says this will be about an $700 fix to replace the cluster. Would I just be able to remove the dash and move the needle down to 0, effectively fixing the issue?

I bet you could find a used instrument cluster in a junkyard for >$700, and if re-stabbing the needle on yours doesn't work, just swap the JY speedo into your cluster.

No you don't, do it your self with a Windows laptop or tablet, a usb/obd2 dongle and forscan, it's free software. See this link for more info. https://www.f150forum.com/f38/forsca...ations-349018/

Not if you just swap the replacement speedo inside the original cluster.

Except for the lens the cluster is non serviceable and as such must be replaced as an assembly and programmed to the vehicle.
