I have an 05 f150 and 6 out of 8 plugs broke, I was successful in using the LISLE tool to extract them (kudos to the inventor of that tool) but the #4 was less than cooperative and I damaged the threads beyond chasing trying to get the remainder of the plug out.
I am now researching to find the best fix as I am going to have to Ream, tap, and put a new insert in!
any input would be greatly appreciated!

Are you guys replacing the spark plug wires as well? I'm looking for some to fit my 2011 FX4, V8, but having a hard time finding them. Can anyone in this thread help me out?

Lisle has a new set out now that includes a tool to remove the porcelain top half so you don't have to go through the trouble of just breaking it yourself.
Got it and it's ten times better then the old way.

Part number: LISLE 65700

#8 Broken Bridge

1950 Murray. Just finished restoration!

Hello all, 2006 5.4L, got 7 of the 8 plugs out. #8 threads came out first, then top portion of the plug and electrode. Used the Lisle removal tool on spark plug tip, got it to come out. Here's my problem and question; Lisle says to bottom out the porcelain pusher tool so I did. It pushed the porcelain far enough to break the bridge and the half that broke off is now of course laying somewhere on top of the piston. I tried small, flexible tubing rigged to my shop vac yet couldn't retrieve it. It has to be in there. I bought a video scope and it works great, no help though as I still cant see that half that broke off. I wished I hadn't followed their instructions and bottomed out the pusher, should have stopped 1/8" shy of bottoming out.
Any suggestions or advice? Can I blow it out by starting the engine? I only have 65,000 miles on truck. It has to be removed, doesn't it?
I have seen other posts where people show pics and the are missing part of the bridge yet they never mention anything about removing that portion of the bridge that broke off. Any help would be most Appreciated and Thank You in advance!!

If you positioned that cyl at or near the bottom of the stroke and tried to vacuum it out with a small flexible hose attached to your shop vac - you probably got the worst of it. I'd fire her up and it'll blow it out the exhaust when it's revved up.
