Default Rocker Arms wearing in 2007 F150

Our 2007 F150 is making a noise and our mechanic tells me that the rocker arms are wearing. He also explained that this was a problem in the 2004/05 model year but it was corrected for the 2006 model. He owns a 2006 because of the correction. He doesnt think this should be a problem with my truck. Does anyone have any info regarding this correction? Any idea who I should contact at Ford?
Thanks!

Never heard of the rocker arms being a problem in these trucks. Cam Phasers are the usual culprit for noises. These engines also have noisy injectors.

I'm going to get a third opinion on this repair! I've been told the rocker arms, and then I was told I need a new engine. This just sounds expensive!!!
Thanks!
