Default Sluggish off the line but strong as bull past 2000 rpm

Hello all I have a 2003 f150 supercab and it is equipped with the 5.4 and have the 3.73 gears (or whatever axle code h happens to be) and I bought this truck with 188,000 on the clock with a new transmission and had been maintained well. But, of of the line my foot goes to the floor and it feel like for a second the brake is on it struggles to 2000 rpm and takes of like a bat out of hell. I was wondering if annone has some insight before I went buying sensors and parts. Thanks a ton. In the beginning I installed short tube headers and a k and n intake, new plugs and been seafomed. This helped with my mid range and that is about all.

What is the engine reving at off the line? DO NOT START BUYING SENSORS! Connect a scan tool, check for codes, look at fuel trims. Let is know what you find.
