I'd like to get a replacement side mirror. The plastic is cracked. Ford sells replacements for $450! I feel like this might be overpriced... Where else can I shop for a replacement?

Replaced both of mine over the years using EBay. Be careful to get the options you want/need. Folding...heated...etc. I found the ones I got are just as good as OEM. I got heated/folding. Easy to replace.

Not sure what year model you have so you should Google search that but 09-11 the heated mirrors activate when you turn on rear defroster.

 

My 2012 XLT had heated mirrors and the driver side auto dimming feature, so the driver side was far more expensive than the passenger side. Post a picture of the rear defroster button in your truck. There's a little thing on there that lets you know if your mirrors are heated.
