Kills the power in the system for sure.
My truck did this when i installed my CAI. Check and make sure the crankcase vent and idle air supply line is hooked up properly. When mine came undone the throttle surged and then the engine died. Also check for cuts in the hose. Not sure why it does this but when i pulled the idle air supply line from the tube it stalled the truck.
