Default Service Engine Soon

My service engine soon light just came on on my 2000 F150 and I am not 100% sure what that means. Any help? I am new to the site

It short it means there is something wrong that you need to look at. You will need to get the codes identified to see what the specific problem is. I know Autozone can help you read the codes to see what your truck is trying to tell you.

Go to your local auto zone or pepboys or what ever big box auto parts store you have and have them scan the truck for codes, they do it for free, DO NOT let them sell you any parts, just get the code and come back here, I'll try and help you diag the problem BEFORE you spend any $$..

Run to autozone and have them check the engine codes for you. Then they will give you a code and what it means. Write down the code and post back. If the truck is running and you want to try to fix it yourself. Autozone will check the codes for free

Code read PO305 Cylinder #5.... Is that a spark plug?

Cylinder 5 missfire, either a plug or coil or injector.
