Default Replacing tie rods

I have an 03 F150 4.6 XLT 2Rwd and I am certain that my tie rods need to be replaced along with shocks, ball joints and all front end suspension. One thing at time though. When replacing the tire rods do I need anything else like duster caps or boots, pins, grease to the job good? Also I am not sure but is there some type of link that joins the tie rods if so how do I determine if that needs to be replace? Not a mechanic but I work on mine. So if anyone knows all what is needed for this I would appreciate any info. Thank you
