replaced distributor and i goofed. now im at a loss?

I'm only saying this because I was audience to it and I know nothing more than what I watched.

Is this the original 302 motor? What I remember was people realizing the motor had been changed and firing order changed from the year of the truck and year of the installed motor. Once that was realized they were aware of some other problem that was electrical. I remember talk of California cars and motors too but I don't remember if it was just conversation or if it applied.

Just a thought.

Not really sure @river1 I'll check. But all the same the Chilton manual states the same firing order from the 80's until my year. I'll check it out anyhow.

Just did a search here and found a thread about it changing in '95 to a Mustang order.

Sorry but as I said I don't know anything about the firing order. All I remember is 302 and some guys having a fit for awhile about the firing order until they realized what was going on.

I guess you need to try these two different firing orders.

1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8

1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8
